Marcella Rauch Ochs Class of 58Marcella F. Ochs, 77, of Olney, passed away November 14, 2016 at her residence.  Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Olney with burial in the church cemetery.

She was born August 11, 1939 in Richland Co., IL to parents Cletus Rauch and Laura (Kocher) Rauch. Marcella married Kenneth Ochs on November 11, 1959 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Olney.

Marcella was a lifetime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Ladies Auxiliary Knights of Columbus. Through the years she worked at Burger Chef, Hardees and was a cook at St. Joe School. Marcella enjoyed gardening and being outside. She also took pleasure in embroidery, weaving rag rugs, and playing bingo. Her hobbies include reading, doing puzzles and of course, cooking. Marcella was a loving spouse to her husband, Kenneth. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Others always came first with Marcella, she was a role model and lived the Catholic faith.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Kenneth Ochs of Olney; son, Michael Ochs and wife Kathy; son, Robert Ochs and wife Stephanie; daughter, Sharon Behnke and husband Charles; sisters; Theresa (Gerald) Ochs, Alice (Leonard) Kaufmann, Gertrude (Donald) Kocher, Delores (Larry) Kerner, and Mary Kocher; sister-in-law, Shirley Rauch; eight grandchildren, Jennifer Ochs, Melissa (Bryan) Small, Megan Ochs, Christopher (Danae) Ochs, Alisha Ochs, Curtis Ochs, Cassandra (Travis) Carter, and Joshua Ochs, six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Marcella was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Janet Ochs; brother, Floyd Rauch and brother-in-law, Delmar Kocher.

Memorials can be made to Hospice of Southeastern Illinois or St. Joseph Cemetery Fund in Olney.
