Eleanor Sue (Parmenter) Wolfe, age 79 of Carbondale, Illinois passed away at her daughter’s home in Leander, TX on Wednesday, December 18, 2019.  She was born to Wayne and Imogene Parmenter on November 24, 1940 in Olney. She was raised with one brother, Larry.

In her teens the Parmenter’s moved to Murphysboro where she met her husband to be. She married Robert Wolfe on December 27, 1959. They shared 59 years of marriage. He preceded her on August 11, 2019.

Sue loved to learn, but most of all loved to laugh. Some might call her a “History Buff” and they couldn’t be more correct. She loved to share facts about distant relatives or hummingbirds. If you sat down for dinner with Sue, you could expect to be asked philosophical questions like, “If you could be any animal, what would you be?” It didn’t matter how shy or quiet you were, she could get you involved. She took the most pride in her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by two children, Michael Wolfe and Krista Taheri; three grandchildren, Nathan and Kyle Wolfe and Jordan Taheri; other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a grandson, Jacob Taheri.
