Howard L. McGregor, 72, of Wynoose, passed away Saturday, May 5th, 2012, at his residence.

Visitation in the Chapel of Stasi-Grove Funeral Home in Olney. Funeral services at the funeral home with Reverend Tim Bursott officiating. Burial in Green Hill Cemetery, south of Noble.

Howard was born on March 5, 1940, to Byron and Freda (Stover) McGregor, in Madison Township, Richland County, Ill. He married Doris Bursott in on August 29, 1958, in Wynoose at the Congregational Christian Church. She survives.

He was a manager of Manufacturing Engineering until he retired. He was Baptist by faith and will be sadly missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.

Howard is survived by his wife of 53 years, Doris McGregor; two daughters, Jody Porsch and her husband, Jeff, of Gladwin, Mich., and Cynthia McGregor, of Wynoose; three sisters, Carol McConnell, of Olney, Janet Engleheart and her husband, Rich, of Champaign, and Rhonda McGee and her husband, Doug, of Olney; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Byron and Freda McGregor.
