Memorial services for Bennett Allen Jackson, 64, of Gladewater, Texas were held at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gladewater. Cremation rites accorded.

On January 12, 2005, Mr. Jackson went to be with his Savior. He passed away at his home in Liberty City, Texas after a lengthy illness.

Mr. Jackson was born in Southern Illinois, to Lewis Otto and Sarah (Thompson) Jackson.

He worked for many years in sales of oil field equipment in addition to being an inventor and enterpreneur. He was a Baptist and a very devout Christian who loved to witness for the Lord.

Mr. Jackson will be greatly missed by his wife of 45 years, Lorinda Evans Jackson of Liberty City, Texas; three sons, Sidney Jackson and wife, Pam of Gladewater, Texas, Bart Jackson of Liberty City, Texas and Luke Jackson of Liberty City, Texas; a daughter, Laura Stripland and husband, Kelly of Liberty City, Texas; five precious grandchildren; three brothers and five sisters, Jim, Robert, Otto, Betty, Shirley, Rita, Janet and Lois; and a sister, Barbara Young and husband, Norman.
