Phyllis Jean (Curtis) Galloway, age 68 of Newton, Illinois passed away Thursday, November 16, 2006 at her home. Funeral services held at the Crain Funeral Home, Newton Illinois with entombment in the Crest Haven Mausoleum, Olney, Illinois.

Phyllis was born on September 29, 1938 in Olney, Illinois the daughter of William Hugh and Lucy Lucille Fitzgerald Curtis. On September 11, 1969, Phyllis married Larry H. Galloway. He survives.

She spent her life caring for her home and family. Phyllis was a member of the Bogota Church of Christ and the Jasper Jolly chapter of the Red Hatters Society.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Larry, sons, Kevin H. Galloway and wife LeAnn of Dickson, TN and Kent Curtis Galloway of Shelbyville, IL; daughter, Karen Seessengood of Noble, IL, four grandchildren, Kerstin and Mikaela Galloway of Dickson, TN, Jesse Christine Galloway of Noble, IL, and Cole Seesengood of Noble, IL; brothers Bill Curtis and wife Wanda of Surprise, AZ and Tom Curtis of Michigan, sisters Eleanor Curtis and Rita Vowels both of Michigan, several nieces and nephews.

Her parents; brother, Larry Dale Curtis; sister, Joyce Faye Curtis and niece Kimberly Renea Vowels preceded her in death.

Memorials may be made to the Lincolnland Hospice or the Christian Children’s Home, Oblong, IL.
