Bernie and I were very good friends throughout high school. We shared many interests and activities, including bowling, softball, billiards, hunting, and cruising around town. We both worked for the Olney Daily Mail during high school, first as local paperboys, then inside the office mailing non-local papers and cleaning the offices. I remember him buying one of the first available transister AM radios. I last saw Bernie and his wife at our 50th high school reunion. May he forever rest in Heaven. David Kallansrude
