I am now a widow. My husband of 47 years died a year ago from the injuries he suffered in a fall in 2006 that left him paralyzed and on a respirator. His wish was that after he was gone I would do the traveling that we had been planning to do together. I have been trying my damnedest to do that and how have been to New Zealand, Australia, Las Angeles, Catalina Island, St. Louis, Seattle, Alaska, and most recently Albuquerque to the International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta. I have no intention of slowing down till I have to. Life can be good again.

I sure hope you celebrate this one any way you want. Every birthday we get to celebrate from here on out is such a gift and if we still feel up to celebrating it is really a gift. Enjoy every minute of it. Hope to see you this winter.
