Jim Zerkle

James L. Zerkle, 73, of Dundas passed away on October 25, 2014 at Helia Healthcare in Olney, Illinois.  Services at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home with burial in Dundas Cemetery.

James was born July 7, 1941 in Richland Co., IL to parents James Harold and Marjorie L. (Combs) Zerkle. He married Marjorie Ann (Taylor) Apr 30, 1960 in Shawneetown, IL, she precedes him in death.

Jim was an avid gardener and manufactured sorghum from sorghum cane. He ran Zerkle Precision Sharpening Service since 1987 and setup his business at local flea markets and farmers markets. In his younger years he enjoyed bowling, hunting, and fishing. He was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church.

Survived by Son, Randy Zerkle of Dundas, IL, Mother, Marjorie L. Zerkle of Olney, Grandchildren, Tiffany Pease, April Kasinger, Lindsey Kasinger, James D. Zerkle, Great Grandchildren, Kori Brooke Herrin, Trinity Dawn Jackson, Landon John Kasinger, Jaycie Kasinger, and Leland Ray Kasinger, Brothers, Roger (Donna) Zerkle and Tom (Cindy) Zerkle, Sister, Cynthia Zerkle,
Sister-in-law, Marilyn (Chuck) Perry, Brother-in-law, David (Sarah) Taylor, and several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by father, wife, and daughter Tracye Zerkle.
