Bruce C. Wall, 82, of Olney, Illinois, passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, Illinois.

Bruce was born February 17, 1942 in Olney, the son of Duane Stewart "D.S." Wall and Aldona (Kunsky) Wall. He married Lynda Kay Brown on June 14, 1964 at Elm Street Christian Church in Olney.

Bruce taught high school math in Amboy, Illinois, for 29 years. In addition, he coached track and cross country, and was an assistant coach for the girls’ basketball team.

Sports were always an important part of Bruce’s life. When he and Lynda returned to Olney in 1994, they expected to kick back, enjoy retirement, and spend time with family. Bruce, of course, found time to volunteer as a timer at state and local track meets.

Bruce is survived by his wife, Lynda of Olney; sister, Susan (James) Martin of Sugar Grove, IL; brothers-in-law, Robert (Carol) Brown of Maysville, KY, James (Margaret) Brown, O.D. of Madisonville, KY, Daniel (Trudy) Brown, O.D. of Olney, and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Family and friends will gather at 1:30 PM on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at Kistler Patterson Funeral home in Olney with a memorial service beginning at 2:00 PM.
