Michael N. Robinson, 70, of Olney, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, November 1, 2012, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.  Graveside services at Haven Hill Memorial Gardens in Olney.  Cremation rites were accorded.

Mike was born February 4, 1942, in Olney, the son of Norris D. and Vivian E. Robinson.  He married Joan Ginder on September 30, 1961, at Ste. Marie Catholic Church. She survives.

He was a lifelong resident of Olney, where most of his adult life was spent working in automotive sales. He was co-owner of McKinney-Robinson Chrysler and most recently Mike's Auto Sales.

Mike is survived by his wife of 51 years, Joan Robinson, of Olney; daughter, Michel (Missy) Lenear, of Olney; two grandchildren, Mandy Martin and Macy Lenear; one great-grandchild, Gracelyn Martin; brothers, Charles (Red) Robinson and his wife, Judy, of Billings, Mont., and George Robinson and his wife, Ann, of Lansing, Mich.; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Norris and Vivian Robinson; daughter, Christine, and brother, Robert (Bob) Robinson, formerly of Traverse City, Mich.  Memorials may be made to American Heart Association or American Cancer Society.
