Connie Ray Smith, 73, of Albion, Illinois, died Monday, January 11, 2016, at Wabash Christian Retirement Center in Carmi.  Cremation will take place and there will be no public services at this time. Ingram Funeral Home of Albion is entrusted with the arrangements.

She was born on June 26, 1942, in Brownsville to Arthur and Wilma (Spence) Martin. She married Randy Smith on Oct. 9, 1976.

Connie was office manager for and retired from Baker Hughes after several years.

Connie is survived by her husband, Randy; one daughter, Ann Inabnit; step daughters Andrea (Kiran) Kkoritala and Angela (Terry) Smith; three sons: Dow (Nancy) Stremme, David Stremme, and Doug (Ollie) Stremme; 15 grandchildren; one brother, Ronnie (Ranie) Martin; aunt and uncle, Clarence and Liz Kern; and Bart, her dog.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
