Mildred V. Hatch, 88, of Olney, died Wednesday, May 24, 1995 at Olney Care Center. Services at Zirkle Funeral Home, with Rev. Mark Myers officiating. Burial in Crest Haven Memorial Park.
Hatch was born Oct. 9, 1906 in Huntington, W.Va., the daughter of E.A. and Inez (Moats) Mercer. She married William Hatch Sr. June 4, 1928 in Tulsa, Okla. He preceded her in death May 5, 1966.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Olney. She was also an elementary teacher in Olney for over 30 years and Oklahoma for 10 years, a member of Richland County Democratic Women Organization, and past democratic precinct committee person, a member of the Retired Teachers Association in Richland County and advisor to Phi Lamba of Beta Sigma Phi in Olney for many years.
She is survived by one son, William T. Hatch, of Olney; one daughter, Carolyn Ann Braunellar, of Indianapolis, Ind.; one brother, Ed Mercer, of Pampa, Texas; three sisters, Vera Moland, of Phoenix, Ariz., Margriute Mclntire, of Amarillo, Texas, and Eleanor Haymes, of Cushing, Okla.; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
