Leola M. Bass, 86, Olney, died Saturday, March 31, 1990 at Richland Memorial Hospital. Services at the First Presbyterian Church in Olney, with Rev. David A. McNabb presiding. Burial in Crest Haven Memorial Park.

Mrs. Bass was born on May 25, 1903 in Richland County, the daughter of William Orris Snively and Ellen (Montgomery) Snively. She married Otto E. Bass on March 25, 1945, in Albion. He died in 1972.

She was a teacher at Cherry Street School in Olney for 45 years, and after retirement, taught at Parkersburg for 8 years. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Olney, Clio Club, P.E.O., Olney Chapter of Audubon Society and Retired Illinois Teachers Association.

Surviving are two cousins, Bob and Wendell Snively., both of Olney.

She was preceded in death by her spouse, parents and one brother.
