Rosalyn "Rosie" (Nix) Richardson, 93, of Olney, passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2020 at Helia Healthcare. Rosie was born on March 17, 1927 in Ingraham, Illinois, the daughter of Albert Thomas and Anna Rose (Koutsky) Nix. She married George Richardson on February 13, 1947 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Olney.  George preceded her in death on April 19, 2004.

Rosie enjoyed knitting and playing Bingo with her friends. She and her husband, George, took pleasure in listening to music and dancing. Rosie loved spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. She also loved her dogs. Rosie was a lifetime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Rosie is survived by her daughters, Mary Kell (Garry) Maris of Hobart, Indiana; Martha (Mike) Peavler of Olney; Patricia (Dave) Berry of Olney; and Julia (Tony) Perrin of Bridgeport; 10 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren; sisters, Betty Brooks and Madge Runyon Blank; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Mike Richardson; granddaughter, Elizabeth Peavler; and brother, Albert "Booner" Nix.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Rosie at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 26, 2020 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Olney, with a Visitation beginning one hour prior at the Church.Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Olney.
