Debb Allard (Stegall)

Debra Lynn (Allard) Stegall, 64, passed away on February 29, 2020 at her residence. Deb was born on September 21, 1955 in Olney, IL, the daughter of Jack and Nancy (Hamilton) Allard. On October 14, 2000 she married David Stegall who preceded her in death on March 30, 2011.

Deb received her law degree from the Southern Illinois University School of Law in Carbondale in 1991 and began practicing employment law at Roadmaster in Olney and ended her law career at Heyl Roster in Peoria, IL where she was a partner of the firm. Additionally, Deb was the Chair of their Business Organizations and Transactions practice and Agribusiness practice as well as Vice Chair of the firm’s Healthcare practice. In 2015, Deb was named one of the top 50 in Illinois Downstate Women Lawyers by Leading Lawyers. Deb was very involved with her family’s activities. She loved reading, cooking, and traveling with friends and family.

Deb is survived by her mother, Nancy Allard; brother, Terry Allard and his wife Pat; sister, Machelle Settles and her husband Eric; nephews, Izik Settles and Malachi Settles; bonus sons, Andrew Stegall and his wife April and son Jase and Andrew Stegall, Erin Jackson and son Lucas.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jack Allard; husband, Dave Stegall; and nephew, Brandon Allard.

Memorial donations can be made to the Christian Church of Olney.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, March 6, 2020 at the Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney. There will a Memorial Service held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at the Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney with a one-hour visitation prior to the service.

Cremation Rites were accorded.

Burial will take place at a later date at Crest Haven Memorial Park in Claremont, IL.
