Eileen Marie (Kapper) Beuthien, 79, of Detroit, Michigan died Sunday, August, 23, 2020, at Ascension St. John Hospital, Detroit. She was born May 22, 1941, in Olney, IL the daughter of the late Neil and Johanna (Dumstorf) Kapper. Her marriage to Edward Beuthien was October 23, 1965, at St. Joseph Catholic Church Olney, IL.

Eileen was employed by JC Penny’s for 25 years at several metro Detroit locations for 25 years until her retirement. She enjoyed reading and watching westerns, gardening, feeding the birds and took in and rescued stray cats and dogs. She was a devoted wife and mother.

Surviving in addition to her husband Edward of 54 years are three children, Katherine Hayduk of Brockway Twp., Wendy Beuthien of Detroit and Dennis Beuthien of Harrison Twp.; six brothers and sisters, Jim (Jeannie) Kapper, Lester (Nancy) Kapper, Mary (Gary) Dowty, Janice (Lou) Morgan, Jerry Kapper and Marjorie (John) Blunt and many nieces, nephews and several friends.

She was preceded in death by siblings Edwin Kapper, Ethel Jean Stacy, Judith Crosby and William Kapper and son-in-law, Donald Hayduk.
