William C. "Bill" White - Class Of 1961

William C. Bill White

Bill White, 78, of Olney, died on Friday, December 11, 2020 at Helia Healthcare of Olney.  Bill was born on June 17, 1942 in Richland County, IL, the son of William Charles and Helen (Feutz) White, and they have both preceded him in death.

Bill's goal in life was to have fun and make people happy. He had a tremendous sense of humor as well as many talents. Bill was very generous, and he helped people of all ages in the community. He was a founding member of the theater community in Olney and helped it grow. He worked behind the scenes and on the stage. When on stage he could sing, he could dance, he could make you cry, and he would often have the crowd rolling in laughter. Bill worked for the TV Station and the Radio Station as a salesperson and as an on-air personality. He was a member of the band 'Long Time Coming' for many years touring all over the United States. Bill owned and operated 'The Fireside' where he hosted bands and events. He was also a 50-year member of the First Presbyterian Church of Olney, where he sang in the choir. Bill's light, love, and laughter will be deeply missed by everyone he touched.

A Memorial Service will be held for Bill at 6:00 PM on Friday, December 18, 2020 at Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney, with a Visitation beginning two hours before service time at the funeral home.
