Charles Stangle

Charles Martin Stangle, 77, of Tioga, Louisiana entered eternal rest on Tuesday, July 21, 2020, in his residence.

He was a United States Army Veteran and a native of Olney, Illinois. He served in the Vietnam Era and retired after over thirty years of service. He also retired from the U.S. Forestry Service and was a member of Word of Grace Church in Pineville. He enjoyed woodcarving and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Rushton Stangle and his parents, Kenneth, Sr. and Rosemary Stangle.

Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include his loving wife of twenty years, Sharon Vallery Stangle, of Tioga; three sons, Jason Stangle and his wife, Penny, of Winnfield, Jeremy Stangle and his wife, Vivian, of Houston, TX. and Scott Robertson, of Colfax; one brother, Kenneth A. Stangle, Jr., of Olney, IL. and four grandchildren, Jasie, Timothy, Kennedy and Katharine.
