Ronald Sullivan, 92, of Olney, passed away on Thursday, August 22, 2019 at Carle Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney.  Ron was born on June 10, 1927 in Griffin, IN, the son of James and Agnes (Cleveland) Sullivan.  He married Darlene (Williams) on August 27, 1959 in Oskaloosa, KS and she survives.

Ron was a High School Counselor at East Richland High School from 1969-1986. He coached football and basketball at Culver High School in Auburn, KS and also in Beardstown and Marsailles, IL. Ron was a US Army Veteran and served in WWII and also served in Korea for two years. Ron enjoyed woodworking and tinkering in the garage. He took pleasure in watching High School football games. Ron had a terrific sense of humor and passed it along to his family. Ron loved life and his family.  Ron was also a member of the First Baptist Church in Olney.

Ron is survived by his wife of nearly 60 years, Darlene Sullivan of Olney; son, Cory Sullivan and wife Marcia of Wagram, NC; son, Derek Sullivan and wife Becky of Greenwood, IN; 5 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, and two sisters.

Memorials can be made to the First Baptist Church in Olney.

A funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM on Monday, August 26, 2019 at the Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney with a visitation beginning at 5:00 PM.  Full Military Rites will be held at the funeral home.  Cremation Rites will be accorded following services.  Burial at Haven Hill Cemetery will be at a later date.
