Shane D. Rose, 49, of Parkersburg, passed away on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at Carle Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney. Shane was born on July 18, 1968 in Olney, IL, the son of Philip and Donna (Weiss) Rose.

Shane was loved by his nieces and nephews, he spent as much time as he could with them and followed all of their sporting activities. He enjoyed participating in local Parkersburg activities, he was very civic minded. Shane was a faithful Christian and a devoted friend. Among his friends he was known as "Scruff". Shane was a US Navy Veteran and a proud truck driver. He will be loved and missed by all that knew him.

Shane is survived by his parents, Philip and Donna Rose of Parkersburg, IL; Brother, Jan (Denise) Rose of Chicago, IL; Brother, Troy Rose of Parkersburg, IL; Sister, Robin (Chris) Eubank of Olney; Brother, Brian (Anna) Rose of Parkersburg, IL; Brother, Shawn (Rae) Rose of Parkersburg, IL; and 21 nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; a nephew and a niece.

Services at the Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery, Parkersburg, IL. Full Military Rites performed at the graveside.
