 Charles Frederic UtzCharles "Fred" Utz, 84, of Olney, went to be with his Heavenly Father, November 22, 2016 at his residence. Fred was born May 27, 1932 in Olney, IL son of Charles Edward and Sophia (Krumdick) Utz.

Fred was known as the 'Flower Man' for raising beautiful Dahlia's. He loved delivering flowers to friends and family in Olney. He was a number one Cubs Fan and also enjoyed fishing. He was a member of the Bass Club and had won several awards. Fred served in the Korean War and was a member of the VFW and the American Legion. He is a deacon at the Antioch Christian Church and was instrumental in designing and constructing the new Antioch Church. For his career he was a wonderful carpenter and contractor. Fred was the best husband, father, and grandfather that anyone could've asked for.

He is survived by daughter, Mitzi Daniel of Olney, IL; daughter, Tammy Runyon and husband Jim of Olney, IL; son, Tony Utz of Olney, IL; granddaughter, Amanda Monical of Clay City, IL; granddaughter, Andrea Armour of Olney, IL; great granddaughter, Makayla Monical of Clay City, IL; great grandson, Mac Fredrick Armour; and brother-in-law, Denny Totten.

He was preceded in death by parents, wife, siblings, and many dear friends.
