Robert E. Bellinger Jr., 60, of Olney, went home to be with his Lord on Monday, September 19, 2011, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.

Robert was born November 8, 1950, in Olney, the son of Robert E. and Merle Ruth (Sager) Bellinger. He married Melda Cantrell on November 18, 1972, at Congregational Christian Church in Olney.

He was a member of Silver Street Pentecostal Church and a cabinet maker by trade. He was self-employed and served in the U.S. Army. He was stationed in Korea during the closing days of the Vietnam War. He will be sadly missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.

Robert is survived by his wife of 39 years, Melda Bellinger; his mother, Merle (Sager) Bellinger; sons, Jeremy Robert Bellinger, of Olney, Joshua David Bellinger, of Olney, and Jonathan Michael Bellinger and his wife, Rachel, of Olney; daughter, Jennifer Nicole Bellinger, of Olney; sisters, Anita Burrows, of Olney, Sharon Foster, of Olney, and Roberta Eck, of Olney; and one grandchild, Payton Rose Richardson.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert E. Bellinger.
