Larry David Volk

Larry David Volk, 58, of Olney, died Friday, January 4, 2002, at his residence. A prayer service at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney with funeral service at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Olney with Rev. Father Jerry Wirth and Rev. Bruce Rushing officiating. Burial in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Olney.

Mr. Volk was born on December 17, 1943, in Richland County, the son of Delbert and Coletta (Spitz) Volk.  He married Nancy King on June 4, 1977.

He had worked for Prairie Farms and Coca Cola and was a retired U.S. Navy veteran after serving 20 years.

Mr. Volk is survived by his wife, Nancy (King) Volk, of Olney; his parents, Delbert and Coletta Volk, of Olney; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Don and Jacqueline King, of Perth Amboy, N.J.; a daughter, Kelly Volk, of Olney; three sons, Bill Volk and his wife, Kim, of Oak Harbor, Wash., David Volk, of Olney, and Matthew Volk, of Olney; four sisters, Linda Volk, of Donaldson, Ind., Marcia Oris, of St. Peters, Mo., Nancy Lane, of Fenton, Mo., and Carla Goss, of Claremont; and two grandsons, Jacob and Derek.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Madonna and Mary.
