Olney Man Killed in Auto Mishap

A 34-year-old Olney man was killed in a one-car accident on the Ste. Marie Blacktop about two miles south of Ste. Marie Tuesday night.

Clyde Iaun was thrown from his car when it ran off the roadway. He died at 8:10 p.m. in Richland Memorial Hospital.

Clyde T. Iaun, Jr., 34, of 515 East North Ave., Olney was pronounced dead on arrival at 8:57 p.m. Tuesday, July 4, 1978 at Richland Memorial Hospital, due to injuries received in a one-car accident on the Ste. Marie blacktop south of Ste. Marie.

Services at Summers Funeral Home with Rev. R.E. Dowden officiating. Burial in Haven Hill Cemetery in Olney.

Mr. Iaun was born February 28, 1944 in Olney, the son of Clyde T. Iaun, Sr. and Frances Travis Iaun. He was a member of the Elm Street Christian Church, Olney Elks Club, Olney Eagles and the Jaycees. He was manager of the OK Janitorial Service.

Survivors are his mother, Frances Iaun; four sisters, Sharron Tompson, Olney, Tanya Bentsen, Casper, Wyo., Stephanie Dasenbrack, Frankfort, Germany and Kendall Findley, Davenport, Iowa; and his grandmother, Mrs. Laura Travis, Olney.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clyde T. Iaun, Sr.
