Paul L. Sager - Class Of 1952

Paul L. Sager, 74, of Claremont, died Sunday January 11, 2009 at his residence.  Funeral services at Trinity Lutheran Church in Olney with Rev. Gary B. Ryden officiating. Burial in Goss Cemetery in rural Claremont with full military rites performed by Olney veterans.

Mr. Sager was born on June 13, 1934 in Richland County, the son of Harry Elmer and Flossie Mae (Scherer) Sager. He married Mary Lou Mayes on December 9, 1956. She survives.

He was a retired dairy and grain farmer and drove for Schneider Trucking for 10 years after he retired from farming. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Olney and the Pilot Association of Olney-Noble Airport. He was a U.S. Army veteran and member of the American Legion.

Mr. Sager is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Sager of Claremont; son, Dr. Kevin Sager of Olney; daughter, Karen Genton and her husband, Dr. Randy of Kansas City, Kan.; daughter, Karla Carnaghi and her husband, Pete of St. Charles, Mo.; sister, Carol Clay and her husband, Mike of San Marcos, Texas; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Kenneth Sager.
