Everett D. Schmoker, 97, of Olney died Tuesday February 28, 2006 at Burgin Manor in Olney.  Funeral services at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney with Pastor John Wallace officiating, with full military rites conducted by Olney veterans. Burial in Haven Hill Cemetery in Olney.

Mr. Schmoker was born on February 4, 1909 in Richland County, the son of Daniel and Laura (Eyer) Schmoker. He married Agnes L. Scherer on October 12, 1943. She preceded him in death on April 25, 1988.

He was a retired mail clerk for the U.S. Postal Service. He was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran. He was a member of American Legion, National Wildlife Federation, International Order of Oddfellows, Audubon Society, Humane Society and First Church of Olney.

Mr. Schmoker is survived by two sons, Dan Schmoker and his wife, Dotti (Spillman) of Springfield, John Schmoker and his wife, Dorothy (Zuber) of Sherman, Texas; a daughter, Janet Sisson and her husband, Steve of Seattle, Wash. and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and one brother, Paul.
