Sherman Landis

Sherman P. “Pete” Landis, 85, of Olney, retired owner/operator of the Dodge/Plymouth agency, died Saturday, February 27, 1993.  Services at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home, burial with military rites in Haven Hill Cemetery.

Sherman was born July 7, 1907 son of Philip S. and Emma D. (Gilkison) Landis.

He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran; a member of the First United Methodist Church and American Legion in Olney.

Survivors include his wife, Josephine “Jo”; step-son, Donald Stanton of Butler, Ohio and step-daughter, Ann Gregg of Newburgh, Ind.
