On Tuesday, October 29, 2013, Jeffrey Allen Totten, 38, was set free to fly on eagle's wings.

He loved the outdoors and was an avid bicyclist and environmentalist.

Jeff was a 1993 graduate of East Richland High School and a veteran of the U.S. Navy, where he served aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln as a Nuclear Machinist Mate. After his eight and one half years serving his country, Jeff worked for North American Energy Services, where he managed several power plants in the United States and South America.

Seven years ago, Jeff sustained a traumatic brain injury while bicycling in the Seattle area. After his rehabilitation, Jeff became an advocate for brain-injured families and worked tirelessly to educate and support families living with brain injuries.

Jeff is survived by the love of his life, Danielle Leavelle, of Seattle; father, Denny (Patti) Totten, of Olney; mother, Eddi (Wayne) Fatheree, of Flora; two special nieces, Marissa Myers and Elise Leavelle Leon, of San Diego; and numerous family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Paul and Juanita Totten, Elmer and Florence Greene and his sister, Melissa Totten.

A celebration of his life will be in held in Seattle on Friday, November 8.
