Wendell Snively

Wendell A. Snively, 87, of Olney died Wednesday October 30, 2002 at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney.  Funeral services at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home with Reverend Charles McDonald officiating. Burial with full military rites at Haven Hill Cemetery in Olney.

Mr. Snively was born on October 13, 1915 in Olney, the son of Edmund and Laura (Yelch) Snively.

He was a meat cutter and he and his brother, Bob owned a grocery store in Indianapolis, Ind. for 30 years. He was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church in Olney. He spent 52 months in the Army during World War II.

Mr. Snively is survived by a brother, Robert B. Snively of Olney; a nephew, Allen B. Snively and his wife, Judy of Louisville, Ky.; two great-nephews, Allen B. Snively Jr. of Chandler, Az. and Curtis L. Snively of  Louisville, Ky.; and two cousins, Johnsie Fiock Fildes of Olney and Mary Lou Pampe of Olney.

He was peceded in death by his parents and one brother, Edmund.
