Leroy P. Bellinger - Class Of 1933

Leroy Bellnger, 54, of Chester, formerly of Olney passed away Tuesday February 11, 1969 at his home in Chester, according to word received by relatives here. Death was apparently the result of a heart attack.

Funeral services at Summers-Rainey Funeral Home with Rev. Raymond Cloints officiating. Burial at Haven Hill Cemetery with full military rites at graveside by veterans organizations.

A graduate of the Olney High School, he had been a prison guard at the Illinois State Penitentiary, Menard Division, for about 18 years. Mr. Bellinger was born in Olney and was a veteran of World War II (Illinois TEC 4 ~ 23 GENERAL HOSPITAL ~ W W II).

He is survived by his wife, Marjorie; and seven children as follows: LeRoy Jr. of Chester, Mrs. Judy Akers of Mexico, Mo., Henry with the U.S. Army in Vietnam, and Beverlee, Marilyn, Grace and Pamela all at home; and one grandchild; his father, Curtis Bellinger of Olney; one sister, Mrs. Emma Warner of Terre Haute, Ind.; four brothers, Robert and Earl of Olney, Clarence of Campbellsville, Ky. and John of California.
