William Maurice Bartley, 58, of Alameda, California died Wednesday July 8, 1970 in Alameda. He was a former resident of Calhoun.

A son of the late William O. and Clara Durbin Bartley. The deceased was a 1933 graduate of Olney Township High School and was a retired army officer, serving in World War II.

He is survived by his wife, a son, Steven, a daughter, Susan and a grandson. Three brothers, Edward of Grayville, Patrick of Oregon and J. Robert of Calhoun and two sisters, Mrs. Carl H. Ferguson of St. Petersburg, Fla. and Mrs. M.J. Fix of Aurora, Colo. also survive.

His father passed away in 1945 and his mother died in 1969.
