George Marion Brown, 71, of Richmond, Kentucky, formerly of Olney died Sunday July 18, 1999 at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky  Funeral services in Richmond, Kentucky with burial in Madison County Memorial Gardens in Richmond, Ky.

He was an Industrial Technology Teacher at Eastern Kentucky University, having received his undergraduate from Eastern Illinois University and his master's from Northern Illinois University. After retirement he served at the Kentucky Mountain Bible College in Van Cleave, Ky. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene, Richmond, Kiwanis, Gideon Camp, International Graphic Arts Education Assoc. and was a Kentucky Colonel of the Civil War Round Table of Madison County.

Mr. Brown is survived by his wife, Betty J. (Henby) Brown of Richmond; one son, Kevin George Brown of Franklin, Tenn.; three daughters, Sherilyn L. Brewer of Nicholasville, Ky., Carol A. Brown of Richmond, Ky. and Anita K. Curry of Louisville, Ky.; one sister, Leola N. Brown Otis of Champaign; five grandchildren.
