Marshall H. Pool, 63, Ocean Springs, Miss. and formerly of Olney, died Sunday December 1983 in Biloxi, Mississippi Regional Hospital.  Services in Brashear Funeral Home in Huntsville, Ark., with burial in Huntsville.

Mr. Pool was born in Richland County.  He married Eula Joe Hines in 1942 and she survives.

He was a graduate of Olney High School in 1938 and the University of Illinois in 1942, with a degree in Engineering.

He was the founder of WVLN; was a past president of the Olney Chamber of Commerce; a World War II veteran; and an instructor at West Point.

Other survivors include a son, Bobby in Mississippi; a daughter, Marsha (Jodie); a brother, Don Pool of Olney a sister, Edith Boley of Vandalia and two grandchildren.
