Robert Bail

Robert Bail, 69, of Olney, IL died Wednesday, June 6, 1990 at St. Anthony's Hospital in Effingham, IL.  Graveside services in Haven Hill Memorial Gardens in Olney, IL with Rev. David McNabb officiating. Full military rites will be performed.

Mr. Bail was born Sept. 26, 1920, in Olney, the son of Harry O. and Geneva (Creed) Bail. He married Carrie Mae Groff Sept. 9, 1942 in Henderson, KY, and she survives.

He served in the U.S. Army in World War II, in the 130th Infantry, Company F, in the Pacific Theatre from Sept.26, 1942 to Nov. 30, 1945. He was a 50 year member of American Legion Post No. 30 in Olney. He was a retired member of Bricklayers Local and was custodian at East Richland High School for 10 years.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are one son, Robert Bail of Tuscon, AZ; one daughter, Mrs. Ronald (Barbara) Rodgers, Effingham; one brother Harry Bail, Olney; one sister, Josephine Rankin, Coraopolis, PA; and six grandchildren.

Mr. Bail was preceded in death by his parents, one son, two brothers and four sisters.
