Elmer Woodrow Linder, 93, of Olney died Wednesday May 28, 2008 at Richland Care & Rehab in Olney.  Cremation rites were accorded.

Mr. Linder was born November 11, 1914 in Olney the son of William and Margaret (VonAlmen) Linder. He married Grace Acton in 1957. She preceded him in death in 1972. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a retired carpenter.

He is survived by a daughter, Carolyn Ostrander of Olney; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Linder is preceded in death by his parents; wife; two sons, Harold and Jerry Shive; two brothers, Albert and Arthur; and five sisters, Bertha Heitman, Verna Ryan, Esther Miller, Velma Shultz and Lucy Brown.
