Oscar Totten

Oscar W. Totten, age 52, a former resident of Richland county, passed away suddenly Wednesday afternoon June 4, 1969 at his office in Sacramento, Calif. He had been a resident of California for the past several years.

Born in Olney, Mr. Totten was the son of Chester and Blanche Stacey Totten. His father is deceased.

Mr. Totten was the owner and operator of the Al-Can construction company in Sacramento and had been in construction work most of his lifetime. He served in the Merchant Marines during World War II.

He leaves his wife, Marcetti; a daughter, Miss Brenda Totten of Lawrenceville; a step daughter, Mrs. Virginia Cooper of Sacramento, and 3 step-grandchildren. Also surviving are his mother, Mrs. Blanche Totten of Olney, a sister, Mrs. Dan (Beatrice) Ragain of Olney, and a brother, Gordon Totten of Jacksonville, Fla.

Funeral services held in the Memorial Chapel of the Summers-Rainey Funeral Home with Pastor Glenn Leaf officiating. Interment in Haven Hill Cemetery.
