Pauline Hovey (Chaplin)

Pauline (Hovey) Chaplin, age 100 of Lexington, Kentucky,  passed away Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Tanbark Health Care. Born February 13, 1918 in Fort Dodge, Iowa to the late Cyril J. and Mabel (Skien) Hovey, she was a homemaker and a member of the Faith Lutheran Church.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Prof. Carl Edward Chaplin; a son, Dr. Mark S. Chaplin, M.D.; brother, Cyril J. Hovey; sisters, Arlene Hovey Flick and Mary Hovey Chaplin.

She is survived by her son, Dr. Michael H. (Pamela Bays) Chaplin, Ferndale, Washington; daughter-in-law Dr. Kirsti Anderssen, Lexington; a sister, Carolyn Byrnes, Springfield, Illinois; three grandchildren, Laura C. Prince, Jennifer C. Anhalt and Sarah C. Walters; five great grandchildren, Audrey Anhalt, Evelyn Anhalt, Eryn Prince, Samuel Walters and Lily Walters.

A private memorial service conducted at the convenience of the family.
