Howard L. Fleming, 71, died October 27, 1989 at his home in Barrington, Illinois.  Services in the Freese Funeral Home in St. Joseph, Illinois with burial in Mayview Cemetery.

Mr. Fleming was born December 29, 1917 in Richland County to Elmer and Elma (Kurtz) Fleming. He married Marguerite Jarrett, January 30, 1942.

He was retired from Kraft Food Corporation, Glenview, Illinois. He was a veteran of WW II.

Mr. Fleming is survived by his wife; one son, Wayne and three daughters, Barbara Watkins, Shirley Bertagnoli and Diana Fleming; three sisters, Maxine Jones, Evansville; Marian Miller, Olney and Dorothy Songer, Newton and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Allen and David.
