Harry Piper - Class Of 1932

Harry Bruce Piper,  63, a former resident of Olney, died unexpectedly Tuesday (January 1978) at a hospital in Hillsboro, Oregon. He had made his home in Oregon for the past 22 years, where he had operated an electronics business.  Funeral services in the Summers Funeral Home with interment in the Sumner Cemetery.

Harry was born January 23, 1915 at Carbondale and was the son of Bruce Piper and Nettie Lathrop Piper. He was never married. He had been associated with his father in the operation of the Piper Hardware Store in Olney for several years until the business was discontinued.

He was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Olney and was a veteran of World War II.

He leaves a brother and sister-in-law, Gale and Dorothy Piper of Cisne.

His parents preceded him in death.
