Corwin Manning - Class Of 1934

Corwin A. Manning, 68, Newton died Sunday, March 25, 1984 in Richland Memorial Hospital.  Services in Summers Funeral Home with Rev. David McNabb presiding. Burial in Crest Haven Cemetery.

Mr. Manning was born Dec. 5, 1915 in Jasper County, the son of Carl and Etta Marie (Waddell) Manning. He married Betty Lathrop Feb. 22, 1947 and she survives.

He was a farmer and a member of the First Presbyterian Church. He was also a member of the Olney Lodge A.F. & A.M.; was a World War II veteran and was a member of the East Richland School Board for 12 years.

Other survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Molly Manning, Fort Wayne, Ind.; his father, Carl Manning, Newton; a grandson, Matthew Manning; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother and an infant sister.
