Gary W. Madden, 60, of Champaign, passed away Saturday February 25, 2006 at Provina Covenant Medical Center in Urbana.  Interment of ashes in Eureka Cemetery in Claremont.

Mr. Madden was born September 27, 1945 in Olney the son of Isolene Madden. He married Sandy Doty on May 12, 1990 in Champaign.

He attended East Richland High School in Olney and was a member of the Class of 1963. He was a veteran of the Illinois National Guard. He had worked at Martin Equipment in Tolono as a mechanic for many years. He was a member of Harvest Church in Urbana and was an avid NASCAR fan.

Mr. Madden is survived by his wife, Sandy Madden of Champaign; two sons, Anthony Wayne Madden of Arthur and Scott Eric Madden of Houston, Texas; one daughter, Darcy Lynne Schaeffer and her husband, Mark of Houston, Texas; two sisters, Roberta "Bertie" Beehn and Sharon Gerber and her husband, Ray all of Olney; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles and Daisy Madden; his mother, Isolene Madden; and one stillborn grandson.
