Sean McCash, Age 24, Chicago, Traffic Accident, Service First Biker #31 

Sean was a very well respected and loved Bike Messenger for Service First Courier at 1132 W. Grand Ave, Chicago.  After work on Friday night April 27th he was heading home.

The police report said he stopped to fix a rear flat and while he was kneeling he was hit in the head by a car bumper at the posted speed of 30 MPH.  The driver kept going and was never found or charged. Sean lanquished for four days in a hospital before succumbing to his injuries on May 1, 2001.

Sean Patrick McCash, 24 of Chicago, formerly of Olney died Tuesday May 1, 2001 at Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago.

Services at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney and at First United Methodist Church in Altamont with Reverend Ken Dean and Reverend Pinckney Love officiating. Burial in Union Cemetery in Altamont.

Mr. McCash was born on September 30, 1976 the son of Thomas and Alice (Zimmerman)McCash.

He was a bike messenger for Service First in Chicago. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Altamont. He was a 1996 graduate of East Richland High School in Olney and a member of Olney Arts Council.

Mr. McCash is survived by his mother, Alice McCash of Olney and close friend, Ed Dawkins and family of Louisville; his father, Thomas McCash of Greenup; maternal grandparents, Albert and Marcella Zimmerman of Altamont; paternal grandparents, Frank and Bonnie McCash of Casey; an aunt, Robin Sue Powley of Manchester, Mo.; a half-brother Milo McCash; a half-sister, Meriah McCash; his girlfriend, Caroline Duffy of Chicago and all of Sean's Chicago family.
