Lawrence M. "Larry" Steber, 77, of Claremont died Friday March 25, 2005 at his residence.  Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery in Olney.

Mr. Steber was born on November 11, 1927 in Richland County, the son of John and Ida (Gentry) Steber.

He was a retired self-employed geologist and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Olney. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of Knights of Columbus and Petroleum Club.

Mr. Steber is survived by a niece, Rose Hahn and her husband, Jason of Olney and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a half-brother, Charles Steber.
