Betty L. (Schonert) Cruise, 87, of Olney, passed away on Thursday March 9, 2017 in Champaign, IL. She was born on February 6, 1930 in Olney, IL the daughter of Vernon "Jack" Willard and Mabelle (Green) Schonert.

Betty was an employee with Illinois Bell after high school and a former employee with both King's Furniture in Olney and Marshall's Furniture in Newton. She later worked with the Noble School System before retiring. She was accomplished in both the organ and piano. Betty was loved and will be missed.

Betty is survived by three nieces, Suzi O'Bryan and husband Michael of Palm Coast, FL, Debra Bigler and husband Jerry of Rockwall, TX, Diana Yockey of Vincennes, IN and several great and great-great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Dolores "Pat" Yockey-Whampler.

Cremation rites were accorded. Service arrangements are pending.
