Walter E. "Buddy" Rogers Jr., 78, of Olney, died Friday, January 1, 2010, at his home with his family at his side. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life will be at First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ, 700 N. Silver St., with the Rev. Jan Laws and the Rev. David McNabb officiating. 

Mr. Rogers was born January 23, 1931, the only son of Walter E. Sr. and Geneva (Crum) Rogers.

He graduated from Olney Township High School in 1948 and served in the U.S. Air Force from 1951-1955. He was a lifetime resident of Olney.
