Maxine Jennings (Kurtz)

Maxine (Jennings) Kurtz, age 90, of Olney, passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2019 at her daughter's residence in Winter Haven, FL.

Visitation will be from 4:30 – 7 PM on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 in the chapel of Thrasher Family Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 10 AM on Thursday, November 21, 2019 in the chapel of Thrasher Family Funeral Home. Burial will be at Ebenezer Cemetery in rural Richland County.

Maxine was born on December 31, 1928 in Southern Richland County the daughter of Guy and Ethel (Bowlby) Jennings.

She worked in the healthcare field as a CNA and Activities Director and also worked at Richland Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church. She enjoyed sewing, doing embroidery, and spending time with her family. She will be sadly missed by her family, friends, and everyone that knew her.

Maxine is survived by her 4 sons, Mike Kurtz (Sharon) of Olney, Don Kurtz (Melanie) of Olney, Rodger Kurtz (Juli) of Mt. Prospect, IL and Keith Kurtz (Tina) of Mansfield, TX; daughter Sharon Conlon (Pat) of Winter Haven, FL; 2 sisters Nadine Baker of Olney and Nola Mae Sager of Olney; 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Guy and Ethel Jennings, sister Opal Pitts and 2 brothers Warren and Paul Jennings.

Memorials can be sent to Ebenezer Cemetery in memory of Maxine Kurtz.
