Doris Hahn (Dehner)

Doris M. (Hahn) Dehner, 88, of Monroe died Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018 at Medilodge of Monroe. She had been in declining health since May after breaking her hip, and developing dementia. Services at St. Mary Catholic Church-Monroe, followed by burial at St. Joseph Cemetery, Monroe.

Born January 2, 1930 in Decatur, IL, Doris was the daughter of the late Leas and Hilda (Cochran) Hahn. She graduated from Olney High School in 1948. Also in 1948, on September 14th, she married the late Bill Dehner. Doris was a member of St. Mary's church. She loved to crochet, play cards, garden, can vegetables and was an avid bowler. But above all else, Doris loved spending time with her family and all of the grandkids.

Doris leaves to cherish her memory three children: Sharon (Mike) Trombley of Monroe, Duane W. (the late Barb) Dehner of Monroe and Brian J. (Anne) Dehner of Monroe; five grandchildren: Jennifer, Eric, Jeremy, Jenna and Jessica; six great-grandchildren: Keiara, Jack, William, Adalyn, Emmelia and Garrett; one step-grandchild; three step -grandchildren; and one sister, Irene Haase.

Along with her husband and parents, Doris was preceded in death by two brothers: Clifford and Melvin; and one great-grandchild, Keiana.
