Donald Lee Gayer, 87, of Olney, passed away on Monday, May 7, 2018 at United Methodist Village in Lawrenceville.  He was born on August 27, 1930 in Olney, IL, the son of Clark E. and Pauline W. (Hunt) Gayer.  He married Joan (Gray) on August 22, 1950 in Olney, IL.  She preceded him in death on May 7, 2014.

Donald is survived by his daughters, Tanya Glenda (Joe) Gemma of Boonville, MO, Trish Gayer of Columbia, MO, and Lisa (Ken) Thompson of Prairie Home, MO; sons, Dennis (Deb) Gayer of Higbee, MO, Daryl Gayer of Olney, Robert Gayer of Tempe, AZ, Donald P. Gayer of rural Calhoun, Kenneth Gayer of Tempe, AZ, and Scott Gayer of West Salem, IL; 18 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and sister, Carolyn Ann Gayer Rainey.

Funeral service held at the Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney with burial following in Crest Haven Memorial Park.  Full Military Rites performed at the cemetery.
