Arthur E. Fritschle, 88, of Olney, passed away on Monday, October 29, 2018 at his residence.  He was born on September 21, 1930 in Olney, IL, the son of Myrl and Hazel (Byers) Fritschle.  He married Nancy Bateman on November 18, 1950 and she preceded him in death on March 5, 2012.

Artie was a lifelong farmer and worked in the oilfield. He was a regular for coffee at Hovey’s every morning. Artie enjoyed hunting and fishing and being with family.

Artie is survived by three daughters, Susan Neuman and husband Steve of Olney, Marilyn Keller and husband Rick of Olney, and Pamela Smith and husband Rollie of Clifton, IL; sister, Anna Mae Barber and husband Bill of Olney, sisters-in-law, Pat (Bob) Jones and Sheri (Jerry) Vandergriff; grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.

Services at the Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney,  with burial in Crest Haven Memorial Park.
