Louie Holden Doan

Louie H. Doan, 81, of Olney, died Saturday August 29, 2009, at Burgin Manor in Olney.  Burial in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in rural Olney with full military rites performed.

Mr. Doan was born April 11, 1928, in Olney, the son of John B. and Florence (Herrin) Doan.

He was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church in Olney and he worked for Roadmaster/Amf for years. He was a Korean War veteran, member of Olney American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a volunteer at Good Samaritan, Salvation Army and the Christian radio station, WPTH.

He is survived by his brother, John R. Doan, of Olney, sisters, Frances Kilburn, of CA, and George Ann Waxler, of Olney, sister-in-law, Wanda A. Doan , of Albion; close friend, Betty Jane Hicks, of Newton, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and on brother Jeane W. Doan of Albion.
